Westmill builds largest Veneer Dryer in operation in Canada
Westmill built and installed a 21 Section, 8 Deck, 2 Zone gas heated dryer located at Tolko Industries in Kamloops, B.C. By utilizing used conveyor components (rolls, gudgeons, sprockets, star gears & bearing hangers), Westmill built Tolko a great dryer for a fraction of the cost of the competitors' new dryer. Other than the conveyor components, everything else on the dryer was new, including framework, roof & side panels, doors, infeed conveyors, baffles, fans, door hardware, seal, expansion rollers, motors, burners, manifolds etc. The Tolko dryer project pushed our design limits to a new level.
